General Description

Was called Cornbread Pea, because you could cook the peas in time for super in the time it took to make a pone of cornbread, also called a washday pea for quick cooking on days that one was busy all day washing clothes.

History

Obtained pea from Josie cates marbutt hawkins, 1987 in Alabama city Etowah county, Brought from town of Tallapoosa in Haraldson county, GA in 1920's. Was grown by Cates family in GA for generations
