History

Purugham eggplant The original seed comes from the Ambal village in Kattarikkai, Tamil Nadu, South India via a California grower Michael Ford (CA-FO-M) during a trip in 1999 and 1997. Ford grew these seeds from both '99 and '97 in 2001 in Watsonville, CA. Charlotte Hagood grew Ford's seeds out in 2003. These are those seeds.
